July, California

Winter's tall grass has turned bright gold, the Matilija poppies are dropping their petals, and a lip of fog curls over the hilltops across the bay.

At least you have the fog. (My son lives there too.) Good old Bay Area fog. I miss it. It never reaches us up here until January and then it's the thick valley fog that comes up the river canyon. I love the City fog that pours over the hills like waves. It's another photo op...

Love your Photo. Do you know what Bokeh is? Your picture is a good example of it.

Farmlady and Coop, the best thing I can say about fog is that it looks lovely from a distance and the redwoods like to drink it. I'm generally happier on a fogless day--rare in the summer as you both know.
