Fair trade

A deer emerged from the eucalyptus grove and delicately nibbled the petals off each of the wild yellow irises that had just bloomed on the hillside.

It's true that I enjoy looking at the irises, and I wish the deer would eat something else. But then I imagine how sweet the flowers must taste and I don't mind so much anymore.

I'm inspired by your kindness to both the dear and the iris.

Well, I don't know if the iris would agree, but thank you, Smartz.
