Our tropical weather does not cooperate well with overalls. But they are classic:)
In high school in hot, smoggy Los Angeles I often wore overalls with only a tube top underneath. Now there was a look I would not recommend repeating.
My favorite overalls were a black and a purple one that were adjustable to any size. They fit me through my ninth month of pregnancies. I gave them to another pregnant woman when I was done, sort of hoping she'd give them back eventually, as they were so unique. She didn't. Maybe I should have had her sign something. I'm sure someone is still wearing them.
I think I saw a sheepherder in the Basque Country wearing a large pair of black and purple overalls. Could it be?
I suppose they could have partially worn out and someone sewed the beloved two pair into one of both colors. ??????????????? The would be very practical for sheep-herding.
I am sure that is exactly what happened. The Basque are a thrifty folk.
There is nothing more comfortable to garden in or be pregnant in or healing from a tummy surgery in or just plain messin around the house or riding a bike in, or just about any activity you can think of!!

absolutely right, since I discovered the joy of overalls in 2001, I have been able to breathe and relax to an unknown extent, so for me overalls simply means good life ! and I'm wearing them every single day, except very special occasions or when I'm going on a flight ! so yes, overalls is the overall best cure, welcome to my blog as well and join us for International overalls day on Nov 20 overall greetings Niels
