Fleeting observations, very short stories, brief histories, and amazing tales of derring-do.
Even with Puck's many achievements—his ongoing work on the Theory of Everything; his celebrated participation in the Oslo Accords; and most recently, his role in exposing the subprime mortgage crisis—I still think of him as my baby.
I have no idea why, but when I saw this picture of baby Puck, the first thing that came to my mind was, "I'm so glad Tai doesn't use the word 'giggle'." Now I'm going to search for the word on aerophant, oh God I hope it doesn't appear!
You will not find that word here. Nor will you find the words "scrumptious" or "ballistic missile test."
I LOVE the picture ... whenever I look at the 16 year old matriarch cat of our clan I still think of her as the 6 month old kitten who snuggled into the blankets with our newborn son ... a son who still makes room for her when she snuggles into the blankets on his bed, but is much larger 15 years later then he was then ... There is something timeless about the felines in our lives ... time slows, stops and fold in upon itself in their presence ... and thank GOD for it !!
